Way to go Sniper,Looks like you thinned the population out pretty good.
I'm heading back up to my friends ranch Saturday, but he hasn't been seeing too many deer. There's just too many acorns on the ground, and they are staying nocturnal.
Hopefully they start coming out,or a herd of hogs will come roaming thru.

Nothing much compared to what some of you have posted but here's what my dad, grandpa, and cousin took opening morning.

Good shooting! Hunting with all the family is the best!

Unfortunately I wasn't shooting... I wish I could have taken time off work and school.
The 9 pt is my grandpas. It's his first buck in about 12-15 years. I'm happy for him

The Buck and the Coyotes. We have been making a dent in the coyote population on the Ranch. And the rancher is very pleased. As of Monday evening and the week and a half from last season we have killed 27 coyotes and 3 Bobcats beside the deer and pigs. And there are still 5 large sized coyote packs on the property and one Cougar.
Good luck to all this season!

They were pretty much nocturnal on us except for early morning an late in the evening just before legal shooting time ended. During the day you could forget it due to the 80+ temperatures. However on Sunday and Monday of last week the temp cooled well in the night at around 39 degrees and the rut started getting into motion. The bucks started looking for the does and the does became highly nervous! Should be getting much better in the next couple of weeks depending on the night temp. Good Luck my friend and a happy season to all!'
