My Dad took a nice 8 pt buck yesterday! One ridge over from where I took my 7 pt. 30-30 from 50 yds, we had to drag him about 100 yds out of the bottom of the holler.

Took a 5 point yesterday at 7:15am from my new tree stand. 60 yard shot with 140grain Remington 7mm-08 out of a browning Blr. Cleanest kill I have ever made. He had 1 lung and no heart when I dressed him. Probably died before he hit the ground.

My wife wanted me to send her a pic but I never thought to take one until after I had him skinned so this is what she got lol

I don't know about the whole 75/25 thing. I took about 5 more inches up the neck for hamburger after the fact. and I usually don't skin the head lol.

I am not a fan of heart but when I get one I usually don't have a problem finding someone to give it to.
