I've only been able to go a couple time this season, but I saw these tracks the first day I went. I can't wait to go tomorrow. I am thinking about going in the morning and definitely going tomorrow afternoon.

Tater

Looks like you might have a good one there on the left picture. Have you checked for any High Rubs in the area! Good luck tomorrow!

My buddy and me both got button bucks in sync on Nov 16th,I shot mine at about 30 yards with a 12 gauge slug, his was in front at about 50 yards and he dropped that one with his .270.We think they were brothers, both about 120 lbs. Then just yesterday morning, about 150 ft from my backdoor as I stopped to relieve myself I turn and see about a 180lb 4pt(whick is almost top of the line for body size around these parts)down by the river about 40 yards away staring me down.I pull out my 44 mag revolver, line up the shot on a huge motionless deer and miss!!!!!!In my defense I was going for the neck so I either drop him or have him go uninjured,I saw a good splash on the river and he ran off unscaved,I looked for blood for about 100 yards just to be sure but nothing.I have one day left and that stupid revolver isn't coming out with me again!I'm taking the 12 or 30-30 this time."look what you see when you don't got your gun"-thats totally true because I wasn't even planning on taking a deer, that's why I had only my 44 on me,I was just killing time until my daughter needed to be picked up from school at noon and I was too lazy to carry a long gun.

The tracks came out of a thicket and went down to the bottom of a hill and entered an old cut over/ now pine thicket in a big valley. I tried to go into the thicket and couldn't go but about 15-20 yards. It is very thick with a lot of huge briars woven together.

I haven't yet. See I'm in college full time, I work full time, and I am married with a step son. So I don't have a lot of free time. Tomorrow morning if I shoot something it has to be before 0800 or so. I have to be in class at 0930. But I will be looking tomorrow afternoon.
