I was talking to my roommates today after one of them brought home a new Sig 716 and Glock 17 Gen4, saying he was wanting to get into 3 gun after he heard me mention I was wanting to pick it up by next spring. I was planning on building up everything to start with but am clueless on where to begin. I know I need a semi auto rifle, semi auto shotgun and a handgun but would really like recommendations. As a rifle, I planned on picking up a Tavor that comes out later this month and was wondering if it could double up? If not, I could always go for an AR again ;) and also, would a Glock 19 work okay? The full sized have never seemed to fit me well compared to the compact ones, although I have never shot a Gen4 so that may help with the back straps changing. Any help and advice would be great! By the way, the place we were looking at is at the OKC Gun Club

Maybe go look at where and who you will be shooting with.

It's a private club so I can't get on without joining which I wasn't going to do for a while since I'm in the middle of changing jobs and with it being an hour away from me, I don't have the time to travel that far just yet

I would contact them and tell them you are interested in seeing what is going on before you join. More then likely they will let you hang out a bit before you join. You will get to see what they are doing and what you might want to buy for guns as well. All ranges are different and you might not like the group that is there. You might not like the distances and targets they shoot.
