If your AR is a .308, with a pump shotgun and .45ACP pistol, you would have the perfect setup for heavy metal

My current line up of ARs are all 5.56, I am planning on building an 6.8 or .308 AR before years end. I just want to start shooting competitively with what I have now if I can.

Depending on the type of comp pistol match (there are lots) IMO a 9mm or a .22 would be best for an auto pistol. Why? because, you're not trying to put someboddy down, you're looking for accuracy and speed (and they both have a good mag capacity). Now dont get me wrong, i would never use a 9mm or .22 in a defensive or offensive situation...BUT in a comp i dont think theres anything better
