Default Laserlyte Pistol Trainer any good?

I want to get better with my 1911 without thinning my wallet. Anyone tried this thing? Other recommendations?

I dont know what training device you are talking about but I use the Crimson Trace on my SP101 to help with trigger control. It will let you know if you are doing anything wrong in a hurry. The dot will deflect when the hammer drops if you did anything wrong. I would forget the device and get a Crimson Trace grip.
