The great majority of police officers are not gun people. To them a gun is a tool, just like their vest and their Cross pen.

so your telling me that police should spend the majority of their budgets on something that occurs almost never...

ive done the job. thats the reality of police work. miami vice hawaii 5-0 it aint.

i dont look for any police officer to be my body guard. its not their job.
+1. The disclaimer might be where you work. If you're a cop in Detroit, the job's gonna be a little more intense than in a suburban or rural community.

Thank You.

We've been statistically more accurate than LEOs

since I first started shooting. So I get all the

credit. We shoot better than the police, solely

because of me...

Every IDPA shooter will call it "Mozambique". It's the proper lexicon.

At one time A Lot of my friends were in law Enforcement in one form or another.
And to most of them,
The handgun was just a tool.
As a machinist,
my micrometer was just a tool.
But some really enjoyed shooting.

The Albany police LEO Union lobbied Andy Coumo and got an exemption from the "Safe Act" for active and retired LEOs. Wasnt that special! They swing just as big a stick in Albany as The Teachers Union! Im pretty sure they have plenty of bullets to practice fire with in Albany...

I have to confess disappointment they didn't decry the Safe

Act, on behalf of their LAC brethren throughout the state,

and denounce the scum-low-weasel midnight-court way it

was rushed to law by their back-stabbing legislators.

Of course, there's plenty of America to go around.

It's REAL simple, I carry CASH, and keep my gun where my

money is.

Which means I won't be coming to NY state as a tourist any time

soon. But that's OK, nobody in NY lives off the tourism trades,

right?

How many Bad guys are expert combat marksman? Have you ever looked at the guns stored in police property rooms? Damn those idiots operate on fear and intimidation not shooting skill. Breaking News! TV cop shows are not real Alice.

Im also angry at the LEO's for claiming a higher ground than the citizens they were hired to serve and protect. And folks wonder where the Us and Them attitude come from. If "them" can have whut "us" cant, that means were not equal under the law and them acting as the arbitrator of law means were we cant stand beside them because they occupy the high ground over us.

As far as tourism goes, it would seem they dont want armed tourists in NY, only sheep! Luckily, my lot in life isnt dependent on tourism!
