What gun(s) do you use for competitions?
Do you use it because it's required? I've watched an AR-15 ONLY competition once. Are most competitions firearm model specific? |

I use a BSA made Enfield M1917 action with a Gaillard 6.5mm tube in 6.5-'06
It's in my gallery. It's been shot in F(O) class and 1K (it's in the process of getting prettied-up) __________________ "Those who have long enjoyed privileges as we enjoy, forget, in time, that men have died to win them."

I'm not a big comp. shooter but every now and then I'll shoot in a Garand competition. Guess what gun I use __________________ Perhaps, if I am very lucky, the feeble efforts of my lifetime will someday be noticed, and maybe, in some small way, they will be acknowledged as the greatest works of genius ever created by Man.

I shoot handgun, Carbine and 3-Gun Comps along with being the 3-gun MD. Competition shooting is what you are comfortable shooting. It has taken me a few years to come up with a what works and what is just stupid. But here is a list of what I shoot in comps.
AR-15: DPMS AP4, accessories include ACE M4 SOCOM, Aimpoint ML2, JP/V-Tac Modular Hand Guards, Miculek Comp, JP 4.5# Spring Kit, JP AR Gas System, Enedine's AR-15 AR-RESTOR, Ambi-Mag Release, CCA G27 Tactical Handgrip, Magpul Enhanced Trigger Guard.
Handgun: Glock 37, accessories, Wolf Competition Spring kit, Ghost Tactical Connector, Springco recoil kit, Trijicon Night Sights
Shotgun: Winchester SX2 practical Mark I, Side Saddle, Sure Cycle Recoil system |
