Default Zoning good to go....what now?

So, found out that i am outside of the round rock, tx city limits and in Williamson County...and in Williamson County there is no zoning regulations. My question is who should i check with next? Should i check with the Sheriffs office if there are any restrictions? I also looked over my HOA and there is no mention of having a business in your home.

any thoughts or ideas?

You would need a letter from the respective zoning office to state that there are no restrictions in your intended area of business. This letter is to show the ATF that you are in compliance with local zoning.

Thanks . So is that all i need, i dont need anything from local sheriff or HOA? Does ATF check all the way down the line or are they more interested at the Zoning level?

Establish your business (DBA, sales tax authority if required) and apply for your FFL.
The ATF will want something in writing stating that there are no zoning regulations and that you're in compliance with local laws. The county clerk or similiar I'd think could provide that (I know of one instance like this where the ATF helped the applicant get something from the locality stating this).
Your localities chief law enforcement officer (county sheriff or the like) gets notified after you fill out the application. One of the pages is for you to mail to them for notification purposes. That's it as far as they're concerned.
Not sure what HOA is.
ATF initially checks at the local level. If your state requires a license the ATF will still issue a FFL but will stipulate that it's only valid for long arms until you meet state requirements.

I sent my 07 application in and the ATF checked our zoning!!
