I decided to take the plunge. I figure I should wait to get cards printed untill I have the FFL hanging on the wall.

Here's to the best of luck to you sir. I've heard mixed reports of FFL's becoming remarkably harder to obtain within the near future so good on you for getting it done now. I can only imagine the mare's nest of bs & paperwork required down the road.

I recently received my C&R and it took five months! :eek:

ONLY five months...some of the stories I hear that would be fast...it's a shame the beaucracy is so thick!!

I am hoping and dreaming that by march (fingers crossed). I set up an LLC also got a tax ID number and all the other stuff it takes I did all that before I even filled out the app. I know someone who got theirs about 6 months ago. he say it "didn't take that long" I think I will call him today and find out what that means.

I dropped my app off in the mail on Nov 12, on Nov 22 my check was cashed, received a call from my ATF inspector on December 14 that she would be out for my site inspection on the 15th. Took about 3.5 hours. I passed!!! Now the wait for the actual license, could be any day or sometime in Jan. I am waiting and watching for the post man every day like a little kid waiting for his secret decoder ring!!! :-)

can't you get your FFL at any 7-11 store in Texas?

FFL received 1/3/11, now awaiting SOT/NFA Class 2 license......the 7-11 was out of them so I had to apply through W. Virginia :rolleyes:

I too feel like I am waiting for my decoder ring! I got my website up up and running. we put some tee shirts on it WooHoo! blacklabelarms.com I would love to pay my SOT but I am afraid that if I do I won't make enough money to cover the 500 a year. I know a bunch of people that want to buy guns but none have enough money to drop 10k on machine gun.
