Who insures gun shops?
I called my insurance company (Statefarm) and they don't insure Gun shops and have no suggestions on who would. Can any one of you fine FFL holders help me with who you may use to insure your business.

All you have to do to qualify for this is be a member of the NRA. They're insuring my instructor side.

Years back I went to my local insurance agency (they handled many insurance companies). Was no big deal back then, I don't know about now days.

Apparently, it is. I first called my insurance agency we deal with and have for years. They found an insurer out of NJ after they finally found one. The questionaire was ludicrous. They even went as far as demanding that you cannot do live fire on private property and attest in writing that you will not do so. They basically were telling you how you can run your business. The entire questionaire was as much as intrusive and extremely detailed as it can get. This was for instructor liability. I can only imagine what it would be for a gun shop. I told them what they could do with it, nicely of course.

On the other hand, the NRA questionaire had a few basic questions and the policy terms let you do business any legal way you choose. The rates are reasonable also.

Thanks guys. I contacted that NRA endorsed company. Waiting on them to get back with me as well as a local company to compare. We'll see how it goes.
