Default Thinking about getting a home FFL in MD

I have done a lot of research and found some information 01 for regular and 07 for manufacturing?
Zoning is what i was worried about?
Also another forum said that in Maryland that you need a store front?
They know of some home FFL's but most of them started as storefronts then closed them?
How much on average are all the BATFE and state tax's?
thank you
Greg

Head down to the county tax office and zoning department.
They would have better answers than someone like me in Florida. Sorry.

From what I have "heard" and please take that exactly as stated I got nothing to back it up with.
Maryland in particular inspects their FFL's often. If you lack a dedicated place of business having an FFL means you open your home to inspection anytime they feel like it during "business hours".
I for one would not want officials entering my home when they are legally only allowed to enter your place of business but if they are one in the same...

if your getting an ffl to buy guns for your personal comsumption your going to end up in a lot of hotwater. ffl is for buying and reselling guns as a business. not for a average person to have guns shipped to their home for cheap.

i would suggest speaking with FFL holders in your area. your going to have to also have business insurance and some other things like lockable secure storage security etc. go speak to some peeps that do it as a real business in your area first

good to hear you are going to get a job
play by the rules as only criminals don't care about the law
most zoning rules/laws pretty mucy suck everywhere they have zoning
maybe build a pole barn far enough away from your house to have it's own address and run your ffl from there and run it as a business
