Sad, all we can do is watch and drool, I cant even bring myself to do that anymore, I stopped watching some time ago when it became obvious it was another version of "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous", you can watch them have fun but thats all.

It was AOK for me to handle and fire every weapon under the sun when before I retired from the Infantry but I will never have the pleasure of doing it again without renting one at a high end paintball range. You gotta be a "Son of a Gun" or a sons-of-bitch to enjoy full citizenship rights in my country, that pisses me off!

If youve ever fired Maw Deuce or a Mark 19, you will never forget the feeling; sadly I will never get to do it again...

Sons of guns should be renamed sons of lies. Nothing on tbat show is real its all made for tv. Pure fiction. Fake drama including all the supposed issues and infighting and fake order contracts.

The batfe does issue special permits to build class 3 for use in producing a tv show or movie. The firearm then has to be rendered non class 3 once filming is done.

not to mention that the last time I read USPSA/IPSC/IDPA/3-gun etc. rules... full auto is NOT allowed for use in competition.

so again, I'd say this one falls into the category of "all for show"

I'm sure Benelli had a big hand in this. They own the gun and Butler is an employee allowed to possess it as an employee.

JonM is correct as always! The other issue is if Son's of Guns would have a license to manufacture class III weapons through the ATF. Last I knew I believe the ATF took their license from them unless they have been reinstated? They had several weapons unacounted for and were not able to account for them when the ATF did an inspection of their records at thier facility. Reinstated? That I do not know? You are correct on your assumption on manufacturing a class III weapon. Since 1984 around May they can be produced by a licensed class III manufacturer of machine guns and destructive devices for law enforcement or government agencies "Only!". The only ones available to you and I are the ones that were produced prior to that date and also are legaly transfereable. $200 Federal SOT Stamp also required. An an additional $200 SOT Stamp for a Suppressor.

Leave it to these yahoos to modify and ruin a perfectly good gun. My M4 is as good as it gets.
Was this a new episode? I thought they modded an M4 a while ago.

I would too, and it makes a lot more sense than a FA gun limited to a max of 8 rounds.
