Short shotgun barrel question
 

So my Saiga as it sits is almost 18.5 inches... I would like to take 4.5 inches off of the barrel and permanently attach a 5 inch monster brake on it.

My question is, in order to do this, for a few moments in its life, the Saiga will have a barrel length under 18 inches...

What do I need to do to be in compliance?

Say the feds raid my house, right as I am making adjustments:rolleyes:

In reality, I was wondering if they can retroactively bust you, say "You had to cut the barrel length before you added the brake, so therefore you broke the law.":confused:

Remove barrel from shotgun. Cut. Attach monster brake. Reinstall barrel.

Go deaf first time you fire it.

Well actually, once I cut the barrel I have to drive through 15 states over 5 months before I attach the brake. :p

So whats to worry then ? :D
