I actually got to see one of these in use today at the range. The guy had a silencer on an AR, one on a 22LR, and the oil filter set up. The oil filter was actually quieter than the manufactured silencer. I was pretty amazed.

I thought everyone had. They work, and are about as effective as a pillow. Which doesn't need a tax stamp unless you are screwing it on the muzzle.

Besides, when you toss that oil can and get a new one, I would think you need a new tax stamp for it.

The tax stamp is for the thread adapter (barrel thread to oi filter threadl) not the filter....
You pay a $200 fee for a item that is basically nothing more than a modified pipe thread adapter that can be bought at hardware stores for a couple of bucks....

Jon, how could you say such a thing? I've watched you shoot. Gun control looks pretty smart when it's done right ... pressing the trigger without disturbing the sight picture = gun control.
