Could anyone help answer questions regarding FFL's?

1. What are the differences between types?
2. What are the benefits of one over another?
3. Is it worth getting for personal use as opposed to business?

Any other info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You cannot get one for personal use. If you make stocks for instance and need it to send and recieve guns thats ok. But you must prove you have a buisness and what hours the buisness is open.
If the atf finds you are just using it to aquire guns and not for actual buisness they will jerk it.
If every body could have one for just personal use we would all have one .

Types- well, if you are in the business of buying and selling guns, that is an 01 DEALER. For personal use, but NOT in the business, an 03- Collector of Curio and Relic Arms (generally 50 yr or older guns) Other types are manufacturer, importer, maker of ammo, etc.

If you do not intend to engage in the business, and do not have a business license, location zoned for business, etc etc etc, the ATF will NOT issue you a Dealer's license.
