Just finished building this SBR upper 2 nights ago. Thank you to Rogtac.com for supplying me the Noveske 8.5" barrel, way cheaper than getting it directly from Noveske.

I might register another dedicated SBR lower for this upper. So i'd just park this upper on this lower, my old registered SBR lower for the time being.
Did shot about 60 rounds of PMC 223 this morning, flawless. Not even a single hiccup.

Upper Info:
Noveske 8.5” 5.56 Stainless 1:7
Pistol Length Gas System w/ Noveske Pinned Low Profile Gas Block
VLTOR MUR 1A Upper Receiver
Rainier Arms Evolution 9”
Aimpoint H-1 w/ American Defense Absolute Co-Witness Mount
BCM BCG
BCM Gunfighter CH Mod 4 Medium
Noveske Flash Suppressor KX3
Troy Folding Front Battle Sight HK style
Troy Folding Rear Battle Sight
KNS 0.52 Round Dot Post Sight
Magpul XTM Hand Stop Kit

Lower Info:
Spike’s Tactical Spider Lower
Spike's Tactical LPK
ALG Combat Trigger w/ JP Reduced Power Spring Kit
KNS Anti Rotating Pins
DSA Ambi Safety Selector
Magpul BAD Lever
Magpul MIAD Grip
Magpul ASAP
Spike's Tactical Buffer Tube w/ ST-T2 Buffer
Magpul STR w/ Enhanced Rubber Butt-Pad .70"

Had. Long story, but a huge watercooled beltfed can also be a huge PITA.

When I got it, 8mm was 6cents/rd and everywhere. But the prices went up as availability went down. Beyond that, shooting corrosive ammo in an almost 100yr-old gun with limited parts availability was nervewracking. I might have kept it if it could've been easily converted to 7.62x39 - but no dice. Maybe I should have contacted Red Jacket??

Anyway, I'm more into guns that are easier to enjoy at the range and maintain; the Maxim became work after a few trips out.

Sold the Maxim and can't say I regret it. But it took forever to find a buyer. Let him have the fun now.

$8K. More than some MG08/15s, less than others. It was a sideplate gun, so no extra bonus for C&R status....

You should buy a transferable full auto AR lower, you'll have a machine gun that can actually be used, and the ammo can be found without hours of searching.

Just picked up my Octane 9 HD. Just a little bit lighter to the Trident9 but shorter.
