Default Just got my FFL

I received my FFL class 7 license Monday about 2 to 4 weeks before we were told we would get it. Now we are in scramble mode. I have contacted Davidson's and Jerry's. Davidson's has been very helpful trying to get us set up. I called Simmons / Jerry's on Tuesday and was transferred to 3 or 4 people that ended with a voicemail and have not heard back from them yet. Since we are new to the business I'm looking for help as to who else to to contact. I'm going to fill out RSR app. tomorrow and send that in. I'm not sure who else to contact. I've searched the internet and several company's come up but I'm not familiar with them. We have or will have a store front in the next few days as soon as the guy we are renting the building from gets all his stuff that he has been storing in our shop area out so we can paint and set up display cases and such. I'm looking for other things besides guns to stock. I've got a few good leads on knives but not holsters, reloading supplies, and other misc. products. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We have the capability to build custom AR's, specialty coatings, build suppressers, and gun smithing. We have a lathe and are in the process of getting a milling machine. Our main business is pump repair, sales, and motor control service. So there isn't much we can't do. Our biggest problem is not having a history in the gun business so I'm sure we are not going to get the best prices to begin with. And of course we know we will never get Cabelas, Bass Pro, Gander Mountain, Academy Sports, and Buds prices. Our business plan is to push volume more than profit to start with to build our customer base. The pump business will more than cover our operating costs of the gun shop so that will help. Getting set up with Simmons / Jerry's would be great since they are just a few blocks from our shop and we could eliminate shipping from them completely. Again any and all suggestions, advice, and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Smokey Mtn Knife works for the blades and some other stuff. Natchez for ammo and re-loading stuff, as well as CDNNSPORTS for less expensive optics and magazines, and bulk safety items( glasses, plugs, Hearing protection) good luck...

According to the ATF IOI who conducted our interview he said it would be required to do any manufacturing. Since our intention is to build AR's and suppressers, and different coatings it falls under the 7. We have to do separate paper work for the manufacturing before we begin to do it. But until then we don't have to. At this time we are just trying to get set up for the sales end and will send in the paper work and fee here in the near future. It may happen sooner than I expected because my son just told me this morning he has a couple of people who want suppressers now. Also I have a few people who have already asked us to build them an AR. For this being a side business it's moving pretty quick.

No worries. Let us know if you'd like to promote through the Podcast. We'd like to make that possible for you, and we are active in search of sponsors right now. Will you be doing work for clients out of your home state?
