Btw, if you go td to another state you can buy a hg there and then send 19 dollars to the state of California to register it. You also still have to submit to the 10 day waiting period if you buy a long arm from a dealer in California (private party and 03 transactions are exempt from the dealer record of sale if it's a c&r in Ca)

It is certainly possible to buy a gun in most other states and have it transfered to CA. I say most states. In NJ you are not allowed to even handle a gun in a shop if you don't have an NJ permit. The same is true in IL if you don't have a FOID card. Only permanent residents can posses an NJ permit or an IL FOID.

It is however very easy to purchase either a hand gun or long gun via the Internet. Except states that have laws that permit one to purchase a firearm from an adjoining or contiguous state, all out of state firearm purchases must be transfered to an FFL in your state of residency.

We ship hand guns to CA every day provided they are not on any restrictions list. CA is really no different than shipping to NY, MA, HI, IL and other States or cities with restrictions.
