Default German Silencers

German firearms law #1

When you register your new firearm, one of the questions on the form is, "does it come with a silencer?". Oh, and why you need a silencer. Can anybody guess the main reason the government will allow you to own a silencer? One guess, it is quite scary.

Because they don't want to hear about it when you shoot somebody?

BTW, I've been curious; are you a German, or a US citizen living in Germany?

Doesn't it have to deal with hunting? So you won't disturb the villages or something?
