Default The Dive Shop in San Marcos is horrible!!!

I had two pistols shipped there and had the exact same experience. When I showed up at the shop to get them Don wasn't there. Okay I try again the next week twice and no luck. I'm thinking my God, how do you people ever stay in business! It took an entire month for me to finally catch Don in the shop. It was one of the worst examples of customer service I had ever seen. His employees are the same way, fat and lazy. You ask them to have Don call you and they make up excuses. Caught one of em' watching porn on the computer when I walked in. I think he told me his name was Kevin or something. Embarresing to say the least.
Is there no value in treating customers with respect and kindness anymore???

I truly hope that they go out of business soon...
Any of yall know of a better FFL dealer in the San Marcos area?

Same experience with The Dive Shop in San Marcos. He received the gun I purchased by auction, but did not call to let me know! Here's my impression of the owner, he's an old hippie guy, an old grumpy hippie. When have you ever known an old hippie type to be cheerful or efficient. His world is diving and he really does not give a rat's rear end about anything else. Don't know if he even has maintained his FFL status.

If anyone knows of a good FFL in the San Marcos area please let me know! I've purchased a Rhino revolver from GunBroker.com and need to make arrangements for delivery

do they have any pawn shops there? some pawn shops have an FFL and can do a tranfer, and sometimes are not even listed in an FFL directory for doing transfers. just another option to consider.

Sorry ya'll are having such a hard time with this A-Hole but I gotta ask this question: Why are you still dealing with him? I mean one fella has had several firearms transfered with the same bad results each time...

Sounds like a bad deal, guess Id look for a new dealer.

We receive guns for people on AA and GB transfers, $25 for the transfer if your a repeat customer. We call the buyer within 24 hrs and make arangments. I do charge a fee for guns left over 30 day though. Even with a NICS delay after 3 days it up to the FFL if he wants to transfer it.

The OP stated that he was delayed by NICS, after a delay is given to the FFL doing the background check by NICS a FFL may transfer the firearm after 3 business days if no futher responce is received. We have a policy not to transfer anything with out a NICS approval.

If you are in the Houston or Montgomery area and need a nice FFL, drop me a line and I'll get you in touch with Teddy or Charles.
