Default Bought My First Suppressor...

And now it's time for the wait. I ended up buying a Tactical Solutions Axiom suppressor because I have a dealer account with them and get the suppresor at cost. It can be completely dissembled for cleaning. It is rated for full auto and can be used for 22lr, 22 mag, 17hmr, and FN 5.7.

I just mailed all the paperwork today. Any idea on how long I can expect to wait?

I've been waiting since mid January.
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. -Thomas Jefferson's "Commonplace Book"

One good think in the UK you can buy a suppressor in the shop when you buy your rifle.

My rifle can is in pending status to ship from Silencer Shop to my local dealer more than a month now. The process used to take about 2-4 weeks. It is a good bet they are way back logged.
My 22 can took 6 1/2 months from doorstep to doorstep last summer. It appears to be getting closer to 8 months now. It depends on your region as some take longer than others.

The paperwork is taking about 6-8 months depending on where your located . We cant have suppressors , F/A or SBSs here in IL so it leaves me with just SBRs I have been receiving my paper work right at 6 months to the day and that includes the one I received recently , I have 2 pending as we speak and Im being told some time in Sept on those which will make them just a hair over 6 months

Son-in-law just got a can for his Ruger 22-45. 8 months, and he is an LEO.

To all: Do yourself a BIG favor- get some anti-seize thread compound before you put the can on a firearm. Or you too will be borrowing Kroil from your father-in-law....
What we have here is... failure- to communicate.
