FFL came in the mail Saturday so it took 11 days from the interview.

Application fee was 200, plus 50 for a LLC, plus 75 for a city permit. So 325 before I bought supplies and office equipment, etc.

Any truth to the rumor I've heard that if you're doing parts you not only have to have a manufacturing, as well as an FFL, but ITAR, even if you're not selling overseas?

Ben, I can't say for sure but I would contact your local ATF inspector and ask. The guy I dealt with was down to earth and I've heard that from a lot of others as well. He did tell me that putting an AR together would be considered manufacturing and is a different FFL, so you may be on the edge here.

I know I have to have two separate FFL's, one for selling and another for manufacturing, and I am still toying with the idea of getting the FFL's and moving on.
My concern on the ITAR requirement, which I've heard is pretty much a given, is it's a four digit price instead of the typical cost for FFL's.
I'll call my local ATF in a few days and ask them.
