I had quite a time finding an engraver to do mine. The trophy shop tried and just scratched up the finish. It was horrible. They just said "sorry" and no charge.

U should try orion-arms.com next time. He's well known for engravings and did 2 my lowers pretty quick. Did nicely too without scratches. If i remember correctly i spent $70-80 with shipping both ways.

Thanks. Thats a great price. I paid $100 for 2 lowers. Had to go to a machine shop in town. Im happy though. Just still thinking about removing the KX3 for something smaller and shorter that will do the same thing. It may not exist yet. Im thinking maybe the Battlecomp from Battlecomp Enterprise for $123.00 through Brownells. Any thoughts?

I heard good reviews of it, it's one of the best out there. But i won't spend more than $100 for flash hider or muzzle brakes. As most probably i'll be putting QD mounts on my ARs when my suppressor comes in. Too lazy to putting it on and off u know .

My SBR is 9"and I've tried a number of different lengths and designs. Truthfully, there's going to be a lot of flash and noise with pretty much ANY muzzle brake when firing 5.56 rounds from a short barrel. From my experience, the best you can reasonably hope for is to simply direct as much blast as possible in a direction of your choosing. For any real control/reduction you'll need to go to a suppressor and be prepared to spend big dollars, especially for a good one, and do the class III route again.

Supressor....very nice idea. Maybe for xmas. Im thinking the KX3 will probably be the next best thig and just leav it at that unti I can afford a supressor. Thanks for the idea. I like it.

What type of sbr is that pictured?
