I have to agree. I had a New Model Service Ace that I bought in the late 70's or early 80's. The gun was a tack driver. Gosh almighty I miss that one terribly, but had to let it go when I was scraping up the cash to buy my first house.

Thanks guys. The Ace is truly special. I am always amazed when I take it out. It was born the same year as my mom, but she's not mint anymore.

I need a Service Model Ace top end or conversion kit for one of my 1911's. I already have an ammo can full of Colt Ace mags.

All my guns are WORKING guns. No safe queens for me.

Very cool. Got to see some great oldies, and learned something along the way. I'm glad I asked.

Well it looks like M14'sRock is winning, since he is the only one admitting to being (I mean having...) a virgin so far.

I have plenty of guns I've never fired, but only because of time constraints. I also have some that I've fired in the past, but probably won't fire again. I doubt I'll ever fire this one again. 1932 Commercial Government Model.

The Ace is the only one I don't ever intend to fire.
