Monty- that's pretty neat. Ever see an Lignose Einhand? Front of the trigger guard is what cocks it. "One hand".

That's pretty darn cool. How much would one of those cost?

The Einhand was from the 1920s. Value is about $300-$800, heavily dependent on condition.

Ottoman Empire 8 barrel volley gun. Probably the weirdest "gun" I've ever seen.

In point of fact, the contest for 'weirdest' firearm would be hotly contested.

The 'Bergman-Simplex' series of pistols come to mind. There was also the Porter Turret Rifle (http://www.19thcenturyweapons.com/909/porter.html)

I understand Porter was killed in an accident while demonstrating how the rifle was safe. [Ahem]

I wouldn't call it weird, just "cute".

THe Aussie's were very inventive. I believe this one came from down under also..... (sorry for the crummy picture, but it's the only one I have at hand.)

How to convert a standard SMLE No. 1 Mk III into a gas operated semi-auto:

It's also the only pistol I know of that uses a clip. Not a stripper,
not a magazine--a CLIP.
