What happend to the M1895's?

About 4 months ago every where you looked you could see Russian M1895 Nagants for sale for like $100. I was wanting to get one but just recently got my C&R License. Now it is as if they vanished. Where did they go so fast? Is there anywhere that still sells them? It is crazy how quickly they disappeared.

Prices are on the rise...try Aim surplus

Ya they are sold out sadly. It is funny, I was at a local gun show today and I saw someone selling one for $450 and thought "there is no way he is going to get that much, they sell for $100 online" than I went home and couldn't find any.

I just bought this one private party in Arizona last week for $149.00. It is basically a brand new gun. They are out there, but you have to hunt and scrounge.

Good luck, keep hunting.

Scrounging is part of the action.

A whole bunch of Nagant revolvers are listed on-line, and now that you have a C&R it's an easy process (provided the seller understands the C&R) to get it shipped. I like using on-line listings as unless the owner has bugger'ed it up, you can pick the specific year, markings, features (the Nagant revolvers have some fantastic and interesting markings that make them fun to collect) you want. If you are getting your first example for your collection, then it's not a big deal.

I'm a new C&R holder too--what online sites do you recommend?

Thanks, Tim

Average price for Nagant revolver 1895 is around $150 give it take $5. I have bought mine 3 months ago for $149 in Cabellas.

GunBroker, ArmsList, AuctionArms... Those are good places to start.

Here's a site that scans for you and tracks prices: GunStockMarket: M95 Nagant Revolver
