Looks like a Berdan rifle bayonet. Is it 4-edged?

It could be for several things. Most likely its for a P53 Enfield or a Springfield musket. Its not a Berdan or Lorenz. It should have markings to indicate what country its from.

Looks to be a U.S. M1873 socket bayonet. The steel scabbard body is from a M1873, so the bayonet likely is as well. Definitely a U.S. bayonet. Check yours against the pics and dimensions listed on my site
