I got a great deal on a SVT-40, but find I don't shoot it too often. It is a pain in the butt to clean and is expensive and fragile. I've read alot about these on FTF, and want to know why everyone loves them so much? Is it the price, accuracy, or something else? Really want to know! Fleet Farm has them on sale for $89.99!

We get them for 299 here in Canada!

Ok guys I know I'm leaving myself open for a public flogging here but the Mosin is a chapter I seem to have missed in my shooting career.
I have seen these things around for many years now, sometimes at ridiculously low prices and my first thought was "now thats a seriously ugly rifle"! I hear they are good shooters but so are many others so my question is what is the fascination with these ugly guns and why should I add one to my collection? This is an honest inquiry so please go easy as I'm old and sensitive.
