Default Turkish vs Czech Mauser

I'm planning on getting a Mauser in the next few weeks and I've seen two kinds that appeal to me. I like the Turkish Mauser because its been issued and well used, plus there's one at a surplus store for $250. Then there's the Czech v.24 Mauser, they run roughly the same price. Also cause it's the full Mauser design. I heard the metal on the Turkish ones isn't too strong. Any help? Thanks

I don't think the Turkish ones are mad in Turkey, I think they were made for aTurkish contract. I could be wrong though.

Some were made in Ankara and Kale I think. But I've seen some that were made in Germany then given to turkey and they modified them

Why not just have your FFL order a 24/47 from Samco. Excellent condition are $229.00, Very Good 209.00. I beleive shipping is 25.00. Even w/ a 30.00 tranfer fee you'd have a rifle most shops sell for $350.00. For 289.00 you would have a like new rifle.

I haven't heard good things from Samco. Plus I want a pre-war, possible Russian capture just for the nostalgia and historical aspect as well as the smoothness of a Mauser.

Most of the Samco Mausers are awesome. The 24/47 I currently own has Serbian acceptance stamps that were not scrubed and is a great shooter, so it was an M24. If you have issues with waiting 2 to 3 weeks, they are not for you. If you call them you will get a very nice Lady named Abda. If you know Spanish and sweet talk her you'll see it in a week. I've only had one issue, a minor one. They more then made up for it on my next order. Very good people. Hard working and hate anything Castro or liberal (communist, socialist)!!!

I'm a Mauser buff, these people have the best original rifles. You can spend studid money on a Russian capture, even more on a Czech M24, I'm not sure where you heard a Czech M24 in good condition can be had for $250.00, but your about 6 years behind the curve. I currently have 5 of their rifles and used a basket case M96/38 to built a hunter for my son. That was the 1 issue. I was unhappy w/ the rifle and explained what was wrong. They took care of me in a big way. If you don't care for Latinos thats your deal. That is always the biggest complaint.

Well the bad things I've heard about them is they take forever to ship and ship the wrong things. Can I special order a M24 from them? $250 isn't bad at all

I just looked at Samcos website and looked up some videos on the M24/47. It looks like a good Mauser. If I can't find anything in my area then I'll get one.
