sporter stock 1917 Eddystone Enfield

I got the rifle last year, and a previous owner had cut down the stock. The stock is pretty flimsy now, and ill fitting. I like the sporter style, but I can't seem to find a sporter style replacement anywhere! Can anyone help?

I can actually see the stock flex as I handle the rifle.

I don't know where you could find a sporter stock for it. Do you have any pics? It may be fixable. If not, you may be able to take another military stock and keep it like that, or cut it down in a way that it would be sturdier.

This is the only picture I have of it right now. It's just flimsy as hell.

Are there several places that are thin, or are there any cracks that may be on the inside of the stock? I'll look around later and see if I can find a commercial stock.

I found some on ebay that are up for auction.

This one is a military stock

These two are sporter stocks

Hope this helps.

Can't find any thin places or cracks, and I found the ones on ebay your talking about.

So far it's looking like my best options would be one of the ebay stocks, the one that C3 linked up, or a boyd's.

Fajen made some semi inleted stocks for the Eddystone. Boyd's makes a semi inleted stock that is reasonable. $74 + ship.

I got one from Boyds 4 years ago. fully inleted and sanded. It only needed a finish. If I remember right it was a blem but it was nice. It looks as though the rear sight wings have been removed and drilled and tapped so the value as a relic is gone but they do make decent deer rifles, fairly accurate and strong as hell, although they are a bit heavy.
