Savage 1914 .380 pistol
Hello,
I just purchased a hard to find Savage model 1914 .380 pistol (.32 are more common). I heard that ammo for this gun is rare. Does anybody know if standard .380 acp ammo will (safely fire) work in this gun? The seller didn't know but I bought it cheap more for collecting than firing. Appreciate any info on this fine Savage 380.

I've shot many of the Savages in .32 and .380. Yes regular .380 will be just fine. The Savage is a very fine pistol and everyone that I shot worked perfect. Sights are not to todays standard but the sleek design makes them nice to carry. You are right the 380's are hard to come by.

Here in PA ammo is not a problem and most mail order sites have it. At one time it was scarce.

Didn't want to start a new tread on this one.
I found the same pistol in .32 cal. Is two hundred a decent deal. I'd rate it's condition 7 on a scale up to 10. It's a private sale so no trans or tax.
