I got this shot gun from my father and he got it from his grand father. Can anyone please tell me any thing about it? It has two 12 on it so I think it might be a 12 gage?? Also it has WT and and other stuff you can se if the photos. Any help would be great please and thank you. Eric
The crown over crossed whatevers over V and P are Birmingham England
proof from 1813 to 1904. I've got nothing on the rest, but I'll bet someone
comes along and tells you what "ROSES" on a gun barrel means.
I already joined I love weapons and old guns, shooting fishing and all that stuff. I own two custom ruger 10-22s and mini 14 of course and P-85 mark II and some other hand guns. I would like and hope I could get as much info on the shot gun. Thank you so much, so far please keep it coming. Thank you Eric
Like Bill said the crown over BCP is a Birmingham proof from 1813-1904. The crown over V is a Birmingham inspection mark used from 1812-1904. I can't make out the other one well enough to tell what it is. The barrels are damascus and will have short chambers. The W.T. is probably the inspectors initials
