It wasn't cheap. 349 plus shipping. I am here in Canada and No4 rifles are to Canadians what the M1 Garand is to Americans, so they command a premium. This one is actually from a dealer who has a few left from the 2008 import. It is still in the grease from storage. The bore is rated as NRA very good.

Wow I love the wear in it! Beautiful rifle! Why are military surplus rifles in Canada cheaper than in the US? Because I've seen SVT40s for $300 or so and in te states they're like 700

Actually our import laws are waaaaaay easier than the US laws. I just sold my SVT-40 for 325 shipped (It was nice but didn't fit me well). We also have lots of non-issued sks here. I just bought one in the grease all matching for 240 shipped. Also we can get all the cheap Chinese Norincos you guys can't.

Looks like a nice one, all I can tell you is they were built to British Royal Ordnance Factory spec`s by the Pakistani-Ordnance-Factory, I have one & it seams to be a right nice rifle................
