2 strikes so far. This is NOT a pinfire, nor is it a S&W #1. It is, as said a .30 caliber.

Hint- neither rimfire, centerfire, nor pinfire- and it is not ball & cap. Loading it is somewhat.....contrary.

I used to have a teat fire and it looked quite different than that.

Close- but not a teatfire.

For those that have not heard the term, a teatfire (or titfire) has a cartridge that slides in the FRONT(rather contrary, huh?) of the cylinder, and a little teat sticks out of the back- to be whacked by the hammer.

You see, a guy named Rollin White had the patent on boring a hole all the way through the cylinder, and loading cartridges in from the back.

The gun shown was another attempt to get around that patent- and it WAS a front loader- but not a teatfire. Any guesses?

PS- another hint- look at the photo- two cartridges are shown.

I think my vote wasn't counted (maybe you are in Florida right now ;-)), bottom page 5.

Before i saw it in detail i said S&W for sure. Eagle arms/ Plant pocket revolver cal. 30, cup fired.
