I want one. Maybe in a different caliber, even .22, just for availability's sake, but .38 would be cool.

Didn't they used to make a "parlor pistol" similar to that, that was fired with a primer only? Much shorter barrel?

I think I can make one...

That is a Stevens Mdl. 35 Off Hand Target Pistol. This pistols differs from the other Stevens Tip-Ups by its removable side plate.

In more detail: J Stevens & co. "Pocket rifle" Chicopee Falls, Mass.

Correctly called a pocket rifle they are also known as a bicycle rifle, seeing as you could attach them to your turn of the century bike and score u a nice rabbit or whatever on your way home for dinner. Not in the pic is the metal stock " basically a formed metal wire piece" that attaches to the butt, that can be viewed by some as making it a short barreled rifle and thus illegal.
