I wanted a Nagant revolver to go with my 1941 Mosin Nagant. But since ammo is kinda difficult to come by, then I would want a gun that takes ammo that I can probably get at my LGS. Most places offer a Tokarev with a holster, two magazine, the usual. I think a Tokarev takes either 7.62x25 or 9x18 Makarov.

You can pick up 7.62x38R ammo at just about any internet ammo site.

Although the Tokarev was around their wasn't enough to issue in any real quantity. Most soldiers didn't even get a sidearm but the ones that did usually got a Nagant. (someone correct me if i'm wrong)

They didn't completely phase the Nagant revolver out of general issue until after the war, then it was issued to railway guards, security personnel, police, ect. Also, how much would a TT-33 run? AIM surplus has M57's for $199, but I would like one that had a chance to be used in WWII.
