Im not ready to get rid of it yet.. But whats the ballpark value of the 1903? Could it be worth the M1 I covet so much?

Possibly, depending on condition and other factors. Ive seen both go for between 800 and 1200 although the 1903's ive seen tend to be toward the lower of that range

i have seen them go for as low as 300.00 to as high as 1200-up on gunbroker.com

i picked my (sporter)1903a3 up off gunbroker for 150bucks...though i spent another 100 getting it back to org. condition :/

Nearly every conceivable question of the 03 will be answered by this tome.
Worth every penny if 03's are your thing or if you just love history.

Cool beans! Looks like you made a nice deal there.

I'm still waiting to find a decent 1903 Springfield.

Saw one at the range the other day with a really fine

stock and specialized sights. Apparently, the guy had

owned it for 40 years.
