That's cool! A Turk really has no collectors value, just as a post war czech K98k. Better than doing this to a real K98, Russian capture or not. I have a basket case M38 Swede that I am building into a hunter for my middle son. It is also a modern build.

This rifle is so sweet now. I took 10 minutes and put her back together. My classic Mausers are looking pretty good now. M41b Swede sniper w/ original 4x Ajack, M96, M38, M1600 commercial Husqvarna, all 6.5x55
Czech K98 repro sniper w/ original Zeilvier 4x scope, 2: 24/47's, 1955 Husqvarna 640 built on a 1947 FN '98 receiver(1 of 10,000) all 8x57
1943 Husqvarna M46a 9.3x57

I really love 'em.

A few pics! She shoots great. 3 out of 3 clays, on a berm at 300 yards.

I'm speechless! (Not a normal canebrake condition)

I have K98 envy!

That rifle is beautiful JP and it's a shooter too. Sweet!

Thank you Gentleman, I am so happy w/ this build. The Smith told me I could sell my hunters now, she will be that accurate. Having a scope that is cammed for the round is wonderful. 25 meter increments is pretty accurate. 0 to 800. I may have to find another scope for my 8x57 Swede Hunting Rifle. There are post War German models out there for $600.00+- that will do the same for that rifle. I really like the #4 reticule also.
