If the mag is made like the orig., you might want to pull the spring out of it.

At the bends in the spring, open the angle a little creating more spring pressure.

Sounds like you need more pressure to push the follower up harder for the last 2 rds.

While you have it apart, you might check for burrs or anything else that could bind it. Good luck, Ken

Thanks buddy. i took it apart and cleaned it then stretched the spring and it works better. but now when you unload the second to the last round the last round flys out of the mag. i think its the lips on the mag. i played with them and it really didnt do much to fix it. I think its just a crap mag.

Hi guys!
I believe the original mag was 12 rounds, not 10. I did manage to find a spare within the the past coupla years, probably paid a third what the whole gun was worth, and it was the dirtiest, rustiest, dentedist mag I have ever gotten. But I was still glad to...

I'm a little late to the party, bought this #7 Gibbs Jungle (1967 Ishapore) 15 years or so ago at a local discount chain for $125. I added the Burris pistol scope and B-Square scout mount which was more than the rifle at the time. I belive Col. Copper would approve.

HighPlains, if your mag doesn't work shoot me a PM as I bought a 10rd mag as a spare back in the day, I'm not fond of ProMag anything and hope you get yours working.

i'm an enfield guy...with a couple of no.4 mk 1's, a no.5 jungle carbine and an ishapore no. 20a1 in, i still lusted for a no 1 mk 111. a pal gifted me a .303 cal made in 1919 with the mag cut-off and i'm thrilled. other than the .22 cal conversion, i have enough to sustain me.
