I think the point was that the term "Nagant" rifle is not accurate, nor specific enough to identify the Mosin-Nagant rifle. It did demonstrate some nice rifles made by the Nagant Bros. though.

In answer to the OP, no sweat on the term, we all started out with no knowledge of these rifles. A quick google search will bring you results on 7.62 x 54R hunting cartridges. It may be best to buy small quantities of several brands, if possible, to determine which your particular rifle likes best.

It is best not to consider hunting with military rounds, even if it is not illegal in your area as it is in mine. Most of the surplus rounds will blow through game without much initial stopping power. You may kill the animal, but by making it bleed out over a long period of time, and you may never recover the carcass.

I think the posts of other Nagant rifles was kind of rude...Honestly. The post said he bought his first Nagant and his thread later stated it as a Tula 91/30.

Grow up and just answer the man's question if you can....

He was just pointing out that there are Nagant rifles. I thought the addition was great. Great pics. He was not correcting the OP. I think he was pointing it out that they were rifles from robo's response.

Chainfire, yes sir. We need to use softpoint by law here in Pa. (pennsylvania) in case there is any confusion about that. I admit i worded my original post wrong. Can admit when i make a mistake. Some take things too far. Its all good.
