Is it a family hand me down?

DarkFreedom 08-21-2010 05:07 PM

Nope. picked it up at a local auction for $60

Can't go wrong for the price.

not at all. I was very happy the next day when I took it to my LGS where they checked it and reported it to be fully functional. I didn't wanna chance testing it out without a professional looking it over first. I wanted the shot to leave the barrel, not kaboom the gun in my hands. Since I got it at an auction, I felt better safe than sorry...

Is it a 2.5" or 2.75" chamber. Many of these old guns are 2 1/2" chambers. A 2 3/4 will fit, but once the crimp opens on fireing, you have a serious Kaboom.

According to the LGS it's a standard 2 3/4. I have been using remington 2/34 00 buck shells in it with no bad results. (well, bad for the target maybe) :)
