I was lucky enough to get my order in back in December when AIM still had stock on the M44's. They don't stay in stock long, sign up with AIM to be notified when they come in the email gives you a couple hours before they start advertising them to the general public.

Isn't that a Japanese sub-machine gun with the magazine sticking out of the side?

No, its a Arisaka carbine with a attached bayonet.

Funny how the Japanese have T38 & T44 Carbines and the Russians have M38 & M44 carbines...
I guess the Russians copied the Japanese..

It kinda reminds me of the calvary Carcano because of the under folded bayonet. Where can I find a Arisaka? Besides gun shows, anywhere online? I found one at a gun store but it has no mum and is sporterized.

So any one planning on getting a mil-surp soon? Any thing on their all time want list? Mine is Vasilly Zaitsevs rifle that is displayed in the Stalingrad Museum, Eugene Sledge's rifle (can't remember what he used but I think it was a M1 Carbine, I'll have read The Pacific for the 3rd time again), and the most beat up battlefield pickup Mauser from the western front but still shootable.

Someone just brought in a whole pile of Russian capture K98s in to Canada. They are going for 7-900 bucks a pop
