mosin 91/30s were all over the bloomsburg, pa. gunshow this weekend for about $175...crates of them, so keep looking.
re. the steyr m95: neat gun, pretty inexpensive for now, loaded ammo is available but clips for the ammo are needed and can be hard to dig up at a decent price. it's possible to fire it as a single shot, but you pretty much need the clips. recoil is stout!
vz24 mausers in 8x57 are more expensive, but ammo is available from rem, win, federal, etc.
carcano's are weirder that the m95s and they need the ciips too!
get the mosin and maybe speculate of the steyr, but the mosin is a necessity!
