I've got 1 mosin with a hez reciever even though its an octagonal reciever. How rare are hex recuevers?

I can tell you for a fact that 32 is not enough. I am watching several on GB as we type.

How rare are hex receiver? It was my first mosin I got. I know that they are actually octagonal but how rare?

1. I think only three flats show on top, the reason they are called hex receivers. Not sure though.
2. They aren't very rare, and many people believe (maybe rightfully, I don't know) that the hex receiver is a stronger built gun.
They only switched to round receivers for manufacturing costs and speed. Much cheaper and quicker to mill a round receiver.
