Something tells me the range master wouldn't want me shooting the mosin with a rope using possibly dangerous bolts...

Aren't all parts on all Mosins interchangeable? Won't all 91/30 bolts, magazines, triggers, extractors what have you fit all other 91/30s? Assuming that is the truth, wouldn't that be so for all of the other variants? I thought the beauty of the Mosin was that if you lose a bolt or dent your magazine beyond repair, you could buy another one and fit it in? Isn't that why so many Mosins have mismatching serial numbers on all the parts?

To answer your question- no. Mismatch has been checked, headspace adjusted as needed.

I have Mosin bolts that are perfectly functional after 100+ years so I don't think that extended life would add much value. There are several competitors making bent-bolt Mosin bolts out of salvaged original bolts so it may be a hard market to crack. I have a boat-load of Mosin-Nagant rifles and I have no need nor desire for non-original parts.

Not to mention the bolt has to be hand fitted just to make the rifle function. If you look at the leading edge of the bolt where it contacts the receiver to aid extraction no two bolts are exactly alike.

Ok so I have looked into this headspace issue and I have come up with a possible solution. All I will be selling is the bolt body with a bent bolt. When you buy it you will need to provide the following parts: spring, cocking piece, firing pin, firing pin guide, and bolt head. The bolt assembly will need to have the head space gauged before use. If the headspace was off, the bolt was loose in the receiver, or the bolt would not lock in the receiver I would issue a Refund. how many of y'all would be interested in possibly purchasing this? The price will hopefully be under $100. I appreciate the feedback and hope to have some pictures soon.

How do y'all think the bolt should be bent? I was thinking of bending it like the mosin sniper bolt.
