I just left my LGS, and they had a CZ52 for $299 and it is not factory refurbished, should I go for?

Yes the 82 replaceced the 75, and the 75 replaced the 52. If I'm not mistaken

The order goes like this: 52 then 82 then 75. 75 is the current issue.

My advice - between Tokarev and 52 choose Tokarev. Better looking, slimmer, more erginomic, lighter and stronger. The choice is obvious.

I am currently looking at Stars from Sarco. Super A is very appealing at $190. 9mm Largo is about $.15/rd and is that dries up you can shoot .38 Super through them. Or convert to 9mm Para.

I own the Tok and the CZ 52. It seems to me the Roller Locked breech in the CZ 52 is more positve than the T-33 pistol. The CZ-52 is a Dbl. or Single action handgun. It is much easier to field strip and clean. It also has the more modern P-38 loaded chamber release. Both guns finish last in a beauty contest. The Tok is a copy of the early Browning pistols. H&K liked the CZ-52 they use the CZ Roller Lock breech in their modern guns.

The roller lock is ingenious, but it is CZ's weak point. The chamber is very thin at the roller recesses. Higher pressure ammo can blow them up. I've read first-hand reports from a gentleman that re-chambered his Tok to 9x23 Winchester and shot it with no ill effects. I wouldn't try it with CZ.

You are reading I am shooting. I think you misunderstand that some countries made CZ-52 with soft rollers and firing pins. The rollers and pins are easy to replace. . The Norinco Toks which I like would often became badly batterd and and failed. Most of the these problems were due to the importation of Czech 7.62X25 machine gun ammo that exceeded both pistols pressure range.

I like the 7.62X25 Cartridge. Both the Tok and CZ 52 are not the quality of the early German arms in that cailber. I prefer the German arms to these communst block mass produced handguns.

Thanks. It is a great gun and I am proud of the way it turned out.

Might as well get your C&R license first. Buy em straight from distributor. And get em shipped straight to your house.
