I have a model 99 M 1 carbine with a tube magazine, I am thinking that it was used as a military trainer and would like to find some info about this model. It will not feed ammo and am hoping to find a manual to see about fixing this gun, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rick- not used as a military trainer- don't have my book with me, but these were made after the M-1 era- appeal to nostalgia of vets that carried the M-1. Suggest you contact marlin- (marlingun.com) and see if they have a manual. Common problems to rimfires are: Action is cruddy and needs cleaning (22 RF ammo is pretty dirty) OR: Gun has been dry fired too much, and pin has put a burr on mouth of chamber (sign is a scratch mark on side of case when extracting) IF that is the problem, DO NOT REMOVE THE BURR- but I can tell you how to fix it- easily.
