I have a guy wanting to trade me a Luger for my Winchester '95...
Its a Model 1914 made in 1916 by DWM... Its a commercial version, whats the difference from a Military model? I see some Lugers go some some big bucks, Do all of them? They seem weird and kinda neat... Ive never shot a Luger, any insights? I was told everything matches but the rear toggle link (It does have a matching mag though..) What do you guys think?? __________________

I can't answer all your questions, but the cheapest I've seen a Luger go for is 1200 or so, and I can't guarantee if that was a genuine Luger or one of the repros that stoeger used to make.
I told you before that I didn't think the deal was worth it, but I'm thinking I need to retract that. Monetarily, yeah it may be worth it, but for me, the rifle would be the better value. Still, those old Lugers are super cool. Maybe not as cool as a Medusa... but that may just be jealousy speaking. __________________

Actually Im just curious about the Luger, and would like to know more about it.. Like is it one of those I could get a stock for?
Im not sure if I wanna trade or not yet... What I really want is a M1 or Krag.. I like the '95 but it really doesnt shoot much different from my 30-30, and I just want something different. I just like how different mil-surps look from each other.. Im not too concerned, about a small difference in price, but dont wanna be raped either... __________________

There are so many variations of the Luger, we would be hard pressed to give you an exact dollar amount. One of the cheaper variants is about $600 in Good condition. Most of the Commercial models did not have the lugs for a shoulder stock.
Value to a collector is based on orginality. Mixed parts= less $$$. __________________

I donnno, Might start to consider the luger.. They are kinda sexy.... Is that the "lug" on the grip for the stock? What would be the legality of putting one on?

Original Luger, Broomhandle, or Browning Hi Power, WITH the lug, CAN have an ORIGINAL shoulder stock. Anything else- Short Barreled Rifle. $200 ATF tax stamp. __________________

Not my concern, but I'm curious. Does the Original shoulder stock have to be original to the gun, or can it be of period manufacture for that gun? __________________
