"Kelly's Heroes" sniper rifle a M/N?
If you look closely at the town scenes near the end of the movie,
isn't the American sniper using a 91/30 with a round receiver,
a turned-down bolt, and the sniper scope?

yup. they used the mosin because they could not locate a springfield sniper. the mosin was readily available and had the general look so they used it

IIRC the "A3-04"(army design altered 03 sniper design) had
a laundry list of issues, and was never officially
issued for military use.
Most 03s adapted for sniping to that point just had
whatever scope was handy to the
shooter at the time...
